I'm Pawan, but most people know me as Pav (currently based in London, UK ). I have over a decade of experience building design & manufacturing businesses, and investing in commercial & residential real estate.

After graduating in Architecture from the University of Nottingham, I started my career in corporate finance at EY, before specialising in commercial real estate investment at CBRE, and later moving into the real estate debt team at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG-Longbow).

In 2015, I teamed up with my brother and made the leap into entrepreneurship and self-employment. We built our business, BTS Group, from a small design & manufacturing company into a multi-million pound business, before pivoting the business to focus on property investment, development and other interests. Along the way, I’ve also consulted for real estate investors and developers, including ALMCOR, Harwell Oxford Partners, Nuveen Real Estate and Leufroy Developments.

More recently — and after more than my fair share of false starts exploring various business ideas — I have founded OtherStandard™ Brands, a brand holdco and marketing business, where I’m leading the growth of our first portfolio brand, BAULANE®, a luxury bathroom furniture company serving high-end property developers, hoteliers, and homeowners in the UK.

In a way, this site is a creative outlet — a space to showcase my work, organise my thoughts, explore ideas, and document my journey. Whether it’s branding, marketing, or commerce, I want to  push myself out of my comfort zone, learn new skills, connect with cool people, and see where it leads.

Beyond business, I’m dedicated to my family, learning how to box, skiing as much as possible, reading the occasional book, and hitting the gym as hard and as consistently as I possibly can — despite my dodgy knees. If our values align, feel free to connect.
